Beginning in the spring of 2017, I was given a budget to invite authors to the UHS Library Media Center. Each author has spoken to a wide range of students, spanning from basic skills to AP. The goal of the program is to inspire an excitement for writing and reading. The authors have been met with interest and enthusiasm by both students and staff. To date, the visiting authors have included: Kwame Alexander, Wil Mara, and Trinka Hakes Noble.
